Protecting children’s rights and guaranteeing them access to healthcare, education, and other necessities depends heavily on birth registration. In an effort to improve birth registration throughout the country, UNICEF Gambia today donated fifty (50) brand-new laptops to the Ministry of Health.
These donated laptops will enable the Ministry to streamline the birth registration process, and ensure that every child’s birth is accurately and promptly registered. Further enhance data collection and management, making it easier for health workers to register births across the country, track progress, and identify potential gaps in coverage.
In receiving these laptops, the Honorable Minister expressed his sincere gratitude to UNICEF for their commitment and generous support to the children of The Gambia in ensuring every child’s right is safeguarded, and no child is left unregistered.
